Through an internet ad, we found people who demonstrate "for hire". We chose the subject matter of GMOs, since it is a widely debated issue with strong opinions on either side. However, the notion of public protest itself becomes highly contested if interested parties can simply "rent" people who appear to speak for a certain cause as a means of swaying public opinion.
